Rated 4 out of 5 by lazy2 from Better than version 2 I'm using with my Xperia Z3 phone and it works well. The wristband is easily adjusted and interchangeable, but for now there are only two color choices. The screen is too dim for my taste when it is idle. The letters in the menu are very small although when reading text messages, appointments or emails are bigger. There are many choices for the watch face. Design may need improvements but overall I'm satisfied with this gadget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by adalton1985 from Best smartwatch out there! After shortly owning a Pebble watch and researching other watches like the Wimm One (discontinued) the number of Kickstarter watches, and the overhyped Moto 360, I decided to purchase a SmartWatch 3. I am very impressed with the build quality of it. To be able to pack Wi-Fi, GPS, a 2-Day battery and the number of other features in this lightweight and comfortable watch is amazing! Thanks Sony :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bassel from Best Android Wear Watch to Date I fell in love with this watch as soon as it was announced. While many would call it basic or plain, for me those are the factors that make it appealing. I already have an expensive TAG watch, so my intentions when getting an Android Wear were to get a fun and sporty looking one to wear while working out and such. Out of all the Android Wear watches, this is the only the does that. The other useful factors that make me love this watch are the GPS and NFC, again only watch with those capabilities. I only need to wear my watch and my Bluetooth headsets to go running now, which is awesome. Also, the battery on this watch is much better than the others, easily lasting 2 full days. My only minor complaint is why Sony hasn't made the other bands available yet for the watch. I like the black, but I wanted to try out the yellow and white as well. Other than that, you can't beat this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jblaker from Everything I wanted it to be! This was my first smartwatch purchase. I wasn't sure how helpful it'd be or if my wife would scold me for buying one and it being useless. It definitely isn't useless. It's a very convenient extension of my phone. I have yet to use the internal memory to play music over bluetooth headphones as I don't have BT headphones but it's something I'm excited to try out. Some users have complained about not being able to see the watch face when the screen is dimmed. I know for sure there is an option to toggle on or off an 'always on screen'. I never touched it and mine is always visible. The "lift wrist to wake" also works but I have it turned off. With the release of Lollipop for Android Wear we now have a slew of amazing watch faces to choose from. I find myself changing faces daily because I can and downloading new faces when I find one I want. The notifications, easy way to respond with my voice when certain messages when they arrive... various other things that other Android Watches do. This one has GPS built in and will be great for when I go hiking so I can leave my phone in my car. No heart rate or sleep monitors but I couldn't care less about those. Even though a steel band has now been announced I am glad that Sony offers this sport band because steel bands tend to not fit me very comfortably. I've played with my friends Moto 360 but I prefer the square face of the SM3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JeffInCali from Very happy with this smartwatch. Works well! I am using this to eliminate glances at phone while driving... I don't even take hand off wheel to glance at watch and decide to pull over or not to deal with messages or callbacks. much safer than old, likely unsafer, methods. I also like the independent GPS for tracking my hikes and walks. Integrates well with Google Fit and let's me know when steps are reached for day. I am eager to get to purchase alternate bands to wear with the removable watch module. This design is awesome. Have splashed it with water while handwashing no problems. Don't plan on immersing... but if it happens accidentally should be no problem. Am currently using Namco's Pac Man watch face... Pac Man gobbling is the second hand. The screen works well in bright daylight without even a backlight... essential for me as I often work outdoors. So far so good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Weird10 from sony swr50 smatwatch 3 battery Would not recomend this watch, a watch the could drain randomly between 3hrs and 24hrs is not a usable watch especially being on the higher end of the price range. My partner has the swr30 and the watch works perfectly and has about 3 days charge. Contacted sony re installed software, turned wifi off, turned locations off. still the same. RANDOM battery discharge, dosnt matter if you wear it or not very unpredictable SONY you really cannot wear a watch the basically MIGHT tell you the time if it hasnt drained. TODAY i have charged it 3 Times all at 100%, lucky i stayed at home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Toejam121258 from Good while it lasted An over glorified step counter. It was a decent watch until it got glitchy. Had it for less than a year. Pros: - built-in gps, great for runners using Google Tracks + fit - decent battery life ~1.5-2 days between charges - built-in wifi support - accurate step/elevation sensor Cons: - cheap strap - touch screen a little glitchy - cumbersome charging port After 6 months watch started to exhibit glitchy behaviour including: - fast battery drain - gps didn't detect movement - touch screen was sometimes non responsive - watch reset itself while I was running and it wanted to pair again with my phone - doesn't detect my phone within BT range, sometimes I have to turn BT off/on Rebooting didn't solve any of those issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SeniorCitizen1234 from Best Smartwatch I've Owned So Far I've tried the Samsung Neo, Samsung Gear Live, Sony Smartwatch 2, Moto 360, LG G Watch, and now the Sony Smartwatch 3. One thing I really like about the Smartwatch 3 is that it looks the least bulky. Many of the smartwatches I've worn rest on your wrist with the watch face protruding high above the band, revealing how obviously thick smartwatches are. The truth is, the Smartwatch 3 is thick also, but the design of the band has the bulk under the band instead of above it like the rest. I like that. I'm not a big fan of a big bulky looking watch face towering above the band. I love the features of a smartwatch, but I really just want it to look like a "watch." Also.. the features... I love the wifi and I use it often. I also love the GPS which most of the other smartwatches don't have as of the time of writing this review. And... this watch is waterproof, whereas most of the rest are only water resistant. Now for the best feature of all.... No special requirements for charging! Most of the other smartwatches have a proprietary charger, or cradle, or base, or clip-on thingamabob which means if you don't have the proprietary charging gadget with you... you can't recharge on the go. However, the Sony Smartwatch 3 only needs a micro usb charger, (the same one your cell phone and many other devices probably already use). So, if you're like me, you've already got the needed charging cable at your home and in your car, and if not they're a dime a dozen. Add the fact that the Smartwatch 3 has one of the largest battery capacities of any smartwatch out there and you've got a winning combination when it comes to charging the watch. One small con...I wish I could give this watch 4.5 stars.. It deserves more than four but in my oppinion, not quite 5 for one reason... the display area of the watchface is offset; it's not in the center of the watchface housing. There's a bezel area at the bottom of the watchface display that's larger than the bezel area at the top. So, if you use a custom watchface, (especially an analog watchface with a light colored background), it looks a little odd not being in the center of the watchface housing. This isn't very noticable with a digital watchface with a black background, but if you use a bright colored watchface, or one with analog hands, you might notice the offset of the display distracts from the beauty of your custom watchface. In the Smartwatch 3's defense, however, I think this thicker bezel at the bottom of the watchface is needed to house the extra horsepower, (Wifi, GPS, larger battery, etc), that many of the other smartwatches simply don't have. All in all, in my oppionon, all the pros far outweigh that con and this is the most pleasurable smartwatch I've worn so far.
