Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Terrible Experience I write from Brazil and about 2 years ago I bought a professional headphone ATH M50X and I just tested it when received at my place. I never used this equipment after that, because my home studio project was cancelled. Yesterday, I would like to sell it and it wasn´t work properly. Its just possible to hear from the right side. I changed the cables and didn´t work as well. I need some help, because I spend lots of money to have a good equipment and its simply not working, without any reason. And here in Brazil, no one is able to answer and give sollution to my problem. A big and famous brand, but I don´t have any support here in Brazil. That´s a shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Amazing all round Headphones for the price in terms of value these are the best pair of headphones I have ever owned. They really have to be listened too to be believed. They are as good as everybody says. My main issue with these phones are purely cosmetic, they are darn ugly. Yes looks are a matter of taste, but I don't feel I can wear them outside without looking a little silly. But I guess people will say get Beats if you want looks. I really think AT should like at the design of these. I would wear these all the time if they had the right look. Look at B&O H6 for example, very nice looking phones (admittedly more expensive).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not better than the rest, but simply the best. I was looking to buy a pair of simple headphones that really made listening to music a pleasure. The ATH M50x was recommended to me by a sales guy who did not even have the product in the electronic shop he worked for. Why am i saying this? It is because the product is so good, that a person with great taste will always recommend this to some one else. I've had the headphones only a few weeks, and they are fantastic. Please buy these ONLY if you want to enjoy every note and every beat and every single sound that goes into making a great music track and are a true music lover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Amazing sound quality, brilliant headphones! If you are looking for headphones with studio-quality sound for a budget price, this is definitely the way to go! I was blown away with the sound quality upon my first listen even without using an external DAC/amp. The ear cups have a great seal, so you can take this pair of headphones on an airplane and silence everyone else out. Be cautious if you have a small head, for these are some big headphones. Also no microphone, so don't plan on making any calls with these headphones, but it excels at its intended use, in the studio. These will not disappoint!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from AMAZING, BEST HEADPHONES I HAVE EVER HAD I love the M50x's, they are amazing, I have compared these to the Bose QC 25's and these have about the same sound quality and the M50x's are just better in sound quality, the QC 25's are lighter and more comfortable but they are 2x the cost. Audio-Technica is underrated

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from A headphone from a reliable company perfect for everyday use As a teen myself, I was wanting a versatile multi-purpose headset, primarily for listening to music and gaming at home. I have found that this headphone exceeds my expectations at these tasks. As far as the physical aspect and aesthetics of this product, it is very durable with silver accents lining the exterior and the Audio Technica logo engraved on the side. They are a bit bulky and large, but the comfort compensates for any size concerns. As far as sound quality, these headphones have shimmery highs accompanied by an excellent bass response that is punchy yet not overpowering over the mids and highs. Even though these headphones are intended for monitor and studio use, they don't have a completely neutral sound with a slight emphasis on the lows and highs. I personally like this choice but I feel it is worth mentioning because they are not for people who want a completely flat sound. This aspect of the m50xs accompanies for the sound signature of modern music that naturally has this emphasis, making me like it even more. I was a bit leery about purchasing these since I wanted a portable headset, but the m50xs work well as portable headphones with a designated mobile cable, along with a carrying case and a very flexible design. Overall the Ath-M50x is a headset for those who do not want to buy Beats, Skullcandy and all of the other name brand headphones that make up the portable audio market today, but want an all purpose headphone for use at home or on the go. I would recommend these in a heartbeat over any other headphone I have tested previously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good value for money! I'm an engineer by trade, and have built amplifiers since I was a kid, now with well over 30 years of engineering experience and a lot of knowledge richer I would class this product as a surprisingly good reproducer. The imaging of these headphones is quite amazing, making them an easy listener that doesn't fatigue very quickly. For monitoring they might be a little too forgiving, and the precision of the region below 100hz is not too great. It surprised me some critique on these headphones is that it lacks bass, all I can imagine is you probably run gear not capable of delivering sufficient current, or you've spoiled your reference point of your own ears by always listening to a far too bass pronouncing system. These are 38 ohm impedance headphones, that naturally demand some drive and therefore will sound more different on different equipment than a HD600 for instance, which is a lot higher impedance. It's rather the popular choice of headphone manufacturers of today, to compensate for the mpobile devices lack of output power, making the best out of such poor outputs. It is still an amazing package, they are not only comfortable and light, but the materials also feel very pro and the design is well done. The plug in cable first enters the shell with a fairly thick plastic covered shaft, before turning in to a minijack connector, smart as it won't break too quick and locks in nicely firm. I own electrostatic headphones of Stax and these come really near in terms of the spatial performance, there is a tonne of depth in the reproduction, midrange is very clean and very precise and the high range is clear, but not too sharp. Would definitely recommend them for just nice listening, not so much for monitoring as they are simply not linear enough and not precise enough in the bottom end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from almost too good They are great headphones for any purpose. They sound clear and amazing with great base, something my previous headphones lacked. I highly recommend these to anyone who can afford them. They are also very high quality. I've had them for a while now and they are still in perfect condition despite constant use and rough treatment. They haven't failed me yet and I doubt they ever will. Overall I have no complaints about this product.
