Rated 2 out of 5 by smile from Power supply of the future. A power strip hog. It takes at least two outlets if you have room on the end or otherwise 3 outlets width on a power strip. Two prong plug folds into recess on adapter for very compact packing. The USB 3c use as a power input device makes this almost unique now as the price early adapters pay; it's expected to be the new universal power connection as its also usable as a regular data USB connection while running on battery and unplugged. It may take a year or two to become more available from other suppliers and useful to power other devices. March 2016. Available sooner and for less from other suppliers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Wally from Poor design I've had my Yoga 900 for 3 months now, so I have had time to evaluate the power adaptor - very poor design. The chord is too short - I cannot sit in a chair or at a table and plug in (in most case) without an extension chord. The plug is located on this huge adaptor, which has the following issues: (1) the adaptor is heavy and I have had issues with some plugs where the plug will not stay in the outlet, (2) it was too big to fit in a recessed floor outlet in a conference room, and (3) it is too big and covers other outlets in either a wall plug or a power strip. Bottom line, you have to buy and carry a small extension chord to use with this adaptor. It would appear that no one at Lenovo actually tried using the adaptor before selecting this design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NewLenovo from Fast charge, but it takes the space of two outlets I was very excited about getting my new Lenovo Yoga 900 but was disappointed that the charging block that came with the computer took up 1.5 outlet plugs (which is essentially two outlet plugs). The Travel adapter is advertised as "slim" however this adapter is the same size as the one that comes with the computer and still takes up two outlet plugs (I say this because at the airport, there are limited plugs and other people were not able to plug in their devices because of the height of this adapter). Otherwise this works well to charge my laptop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by swimman from Horrible power cord I've had my yoga 900 for 8 months and like the system. The cord. You can keep. It takes the space of two outlets rending one of them useless if you need to have something else plugged into the same outlet. As well, my cord has a tendency to not supply power to the laptop. I have to fiddle with the power block in the wall either flipping it over or moving it side to side in order for power to flow. I'm not sure if it's something internal to the big black block (bbb) or if the terminals are too short and do not make contact with the receptacle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Guss from What were they Thinking Like many others have mentioned the charger has one of the worse designs I have ever seen. The cord is extremely short and the power brick is connected directly to the plug. This massive oversight in design means that the charger covers multiple outlets and you have to be underneath the outlet for it to reach. Possibly one of the worse chargers I have seen on any piece of equipment in at least 16 years. Lets also not forget that the laptop costs 1400 dollars. This charger was truly a let down on an otherwise stellar laptop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by work_on_the_go from horrible design I've had my Yoga 900 for less than 12 hours, and I already hate the charger. The adaptor is big and bulky. The prongs are too short to stay in my wall outlet, and the "brick" part itself take up two spots on my power strip. Of course the cord doesn't work with another adaptor, so I'm stuck with it unless I return the whole thing. It's ridiculous that this prehistoric and ineffective charger is what Lenovo includes for a laptop at this price point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by forked from Horrible design I won't spend too much time other than to briefly reinforce what others have said: This design is horrible and it didn't have to be. Aligning the prongs so that they are at one end or the other would have at least helped prevent the block from blocking a second outlet but even that doesn't help in places where the space is constrained. Usability testing - Look into it. Lenovo needs to create another version and send one to current customers for free.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jackson from Design Do-over The negative criticisms of this adapter are more than obvious, but the constructive ones are less so. So consider getting a short extension cord to bridge your power adapter to the wall. Most wall outlets are 18 inches above the floor, so giving your extension at least this length to prevent the weight of the power adapter from pulling the cord out of the wall is prudent. To Lenovo Design Group: Please re-design the offset distance of the two metal plugs a minimum of a centimeter from the center of the adapter. With this re-design users would be able to plug in directly without covering a second outlet. Alternatively, if you're going to completely re-design the adapter, then it could become more like a hub or a power strip, allowing other cords to plug into it. In the former configuration it could be made to look beautiful and sit on a flat surface beside the ultrabook. In the latter configuration, it could provide as a functional surge protection unit.
