Rated 5 out of 5 by BrokenArrow from Powerful Wifi Router !!! I'm liking this new version WRT1900ACS with its new features Dual Core 1.6GHz, 128MB flash, & 512 !!!! MB DDR3 RAM !!!. I am currently running 4 pc's and 22 wifi devices connected with no drop. I'm glad I choose this new ACS over any other router out in the market. I also paired this ACS model with Linksys newest switches model WRT8 Ports Gigabyte & with the Linksys model SE3005 /5 ports.... I strongly believe I made the right choice. I would like to see Linksys built a big big FAT wifi router just for the looks. My last thought, good job Linksys ! WRT1900ACS is a winner..

Rated 1 out of 5 by jack brown from Stability issues We use a VPN Connection (separate OpenVPN Server not the included) and the biggest Problem with this Router is the stability. We also use one client as a webradio over LAN, so we can hear when the internet is not working (We have FTTH 1Gbits). Also there is a strange behavior when someone uses Wifi. If you transfer big files over Wifi (thank God most of our client only use LAN) the Wifi completly breaks down. But not only that the LAN Clients also lose connection. My advise to you: only buy this thing if you are not using it in a productive environment and don't need Wifi. A big disappointment for this price. I will test openwrt. Hopefully this is more stable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dsos from Mostly Pleased with the WRT1900ACS I moved from the E3000 to the 1900ACS for two reasons and those were better parent controls and hopefully better wireless coverage. I am pleased with the results in both cases. However, improvements in the guest control feature as well as parental controls would make this a superb router for those needing such features. I have had to restart the router a few times to be able to access the wireless side of the router. Using three different wireless devices produced the same message "unable to authenticate". Once the router was restarted all devices were then able to use the wireless connection. Not really sure why this happens, but it has only happened 3 times in about a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LowSpeedHighDragOldGeezer from Easy setup, works great. I usually stay comfortably behind the technology curve at home (frugal and just don't care about the latest gadgets) but I bought this unit to serve my two new smart TV's (what was I thinking waiting so long for 1080p HD?) and it is great. I use computers every day at work but I am not well versed in setup or any system admin stuff. This router has simple setup instructions and it was very fast and easy to setup using the browser on my mac laptop. It is working perfectly and I am very pleased with it. I'd certainly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jstmgn from Major upgrade I upgraded to the WRT1900ACS router from a Cisco Linksys E4200. My internet is through U-verse on an NVG510 modem. Setting up the E4200 with the NVG510 was a complex project, and I expected the same hurdles with the WRT1900ACS. Anticipating that, I replicated the settings from the E4200, including setting the WRT1900ACS Internet Connection Type as Static, etc., etc. That ended up being a mistake. After Linksys tech support had me reset it to DHCP Auto Config and doing a reset, the entire network is working beautifully, including being able to establish connections to devices I had given up on. Major upgrade with unanticipated benefits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by UFGator1977 from Excellent router for a large household This router was purchased for a 5 person household containing 15 wireless clients one of which is a high end gaming machine. We have used numerous Linksys routers so we did not use the setup CD but had no issues installing the router. Our household includes 802.11b,g,n and ac devices and all but the gaming PC attached with no issues. A short look through our favorite hardware forum produced the information we needed to set the necessary parameters and now the PC connects at the desired speed. The ability to set that particular PC for media prioritization was one of the main reasons for purchasing this router. We are definitely pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Art_57 from Easy Setup and Great Features It took me about 10 minutes to install and get connected to the internet opening the browser...didn't need to use the installation cd. The easiest router installation there can be. This router replaces my old one band WRT320n router and what a difference in the speed. Went from 300Mbps with the old router to 866Mbps with this one...(please see uploaded pics)....wow!, and this is on wireless not hardwired! The Smart Wifi has some very good tools to setup the router as you please. Streaming 9 devices at the same time and still getting the 866Mbps on my laptop without any problem. Rated 3 out of 5 by Glenn from Not working as well as I thought it would Bought this about a month ago and it's working well for those devices close to the router. Have one room about 125 ft. from router and signal only shows as good there. It's a room with smart tv and amazon firestick. Can only get medium quality and low quality streams ( picture ) and it takes a while to buffer these streams.I also have a Netgear NightHawk range entender in the room but it seems like it doesn't help very much to enhance the quality of the signal, and it's only showing the 2 Ghz signal and not the 5Ghz signal. Funny since the router is duel band. Sometimes I use an ethernet patch cable from the router to the tv to enhance the signal, but don't think I should have to do this.
