Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Lenovo - Simply The Best! My very first three computers of my life were Lenovo's. Even in school we would use standard IBM's. They have always been reliable and worked well with just about any software I installed. Then came a time when I learned my lesson. The place I worked for got me an HP and I bought one for myself as well. This was at a particularly financially tight time where I thought cutting corners would be okay. Oh what a mistake! These were poorly compatible with many software installations and crashed all the time! This Lenovo M 83 is one of the better computers I purchased! And it is the last of four since my horrible mistake in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Powerful little machine It's a great tiny i5 machine. It's extremely quiet and works well as a general purpose machine for a high school student. The performance is quite good. I ordered the model with the DVD drive. I thought it was integrated into the machine, but it's really an external drive mounted in the VESA bracket with the machine. There is a short length cable to connected it to one of the USB ports-so you will have one fewer port available for other uses. There are labeled USB ports for the keyboard and mouse, so you'll likely need a USB hub if you have several more peripherals to connect. I like the ability to use alt-P with the keyboard in the special USB port to suspend/resume the machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from SUCH A RELIEF I had been using Dell laptops, and though I have an older Dell Desktop that works fine, I wanted a new top-of-the line model. I am only 3 days in on this new Lenovo ThinkCentre, but after having staff and I burn though 3 laptops in as many years, it was time to be a grown up and buy a desktop again. I love it, and particularly like what I am hearing about service and support. it also functions well on multiple platforms. Though I am in the creative fields, I could not abide the silliness that goes with Apple products, and when computer professional recommended this, I went with it. So far, so VERY good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Lenovo Model had the hardware I desired. Came with Win7Pro and upgrade to Win8Pro. Installed in office environment with other Win8.1 PCs. The upgrade process is not smooth and takes about 4-5 hours to complete. Was hoping to have a computer I could turn on and upgrade easily to Win8/8.1 Pro within 1-2 hours and go. After the 5-7 hours of setup and removing Lenovo bloat ware I would prefer to have assembled a computer with better components and Win8.1 from the start. Price would have been within $100 dollars of the Lenovo. Otherwise we have had good success with Lenovo in the past. Operating as expected once upgrade Win8/8.1 OS installed and machine cleaned up (only 2-3 days into ownership/use).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from M-73 Excellent Computer I am not a computer guru, honest. I purchased this computer as I needed something small. (I tried a Mac Mini and returned it). The setup was a snap--I could do it myself. This computer is compact, easy to use and runs like a charm. Probably the best computer I have ever owned and I have had many. The only problem I had was I had no sound when I first started it up but after a reboot the sound was there. I contacted Support and the problem was fixed in 5 minutes. I love this machine and hope it continues to run like it has. I ordered this Computer Win 7 with XP and was able to run some old programs with no problems. Good quality and value for a moderately priced machine. A definite thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from So Far So Good This tiny computer runs cool and makes little to no noise, and it is surprisingly fast. After using it for about a week, I have to say this is a solid machine. Obviously, it is too early to grade its reliability. The only reliability "data point" is the 3-year warranty. I bought my machine on August 7, 2014 with a warranty end date of May 25, 2017, which was based on the manufacture date. I used the warranty site’s email to request an update. The date was reset to August 8, 2017 promptly (in a few days). The 5-star reliability rating is for the updated 3-year warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Lenovo review I paid $670 from Amazon. The Amazon ad did not say whether it had a cd drive nor that it is as small as it is (no dimensions). I would rather have had a bigger one and not have to buy an external cd player. also, the Ms office I got automatically set the email up as a IMAP and would not allow a change unless I set up a new profile. Apparently Comcast help does not know about this and it took two hours, 2 calls to C and then their transfer to Ms help to find that out. IMAP does not allow "leave message on server" in outlook. Lenovo could pass this complaint on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent but one spec flaw Excellent build quality, value as expected from Lenovo. BUT one large flaw if you are planning to use more than one monitor. There are 2 video output - 1 VGA and display port - if you have two digital monitors you will be required to add a signal converter in order to connect one to the VGA port. Why? The integrated HD4600 graphics is a great GPU and supports multiple digital outputs. Lenovo tech support said (paraphrasing) that I was SOL. Perhaps there is a better solution but I could find it and Lenovo tech support did not have any suggestions.
