Rated 5 out of 5 by pm1701 from Very Nice Display The LG 34UC87C-B is a great ultra wide curved display. It is wide enough to look like a two-monitor setup, but without the annoying middle bezels. Can comfortably display multiple windows without sacrificing useful size, or a long timeline if you're editing videos. But the display isn't so big that it looks out of place on your desk. It has height adjustment, which is nice. It has 2 HDMI inputs so you can have two different sources on one monitor and 2 USB 3.0 ports. It even has built-in speakers, which if your audio needs are basic, really cleans up your desk space. It comes factory calibrated and covers 99% of the sRGB color spectrum, so color reproduction is excellent for photo and video editing. Worth the money. Rated 5 out of 5 by RowanW from Amazing monitor The monitor is great. It arrived well packaged and undamaged, with no dead pixels. It came with a displayport cable which is unusual but greatly appreciated. Speakers are great considering that they're inbuilt. I've also found the thunderbolt pass through very useful and it saves me getting adaptors for my mac. There is some quite major backlit bleed in the corners, though it is only noticeable when watching a very dark movie or playing games which are very dark. The only downsides are the price, which isn't even too bad, considering its quality, features and who they're marketing it at. It would have been nice to have some gaming features such as freesync or gsync, though its not the end of the world, and I would definitely recommend it even for gaming too, as long as you're not playing at a semi-pro level.

Rated 2 out of 5 by High Concept from Great Monitor, DANGEROUS Software I am a computer expert. I recently purchased the 34UC87C 34" ultra-wide monitor and installed the software and drivers. The installation of the drivers went fine. The monitor looks beautiful. The problem came from the installation of the Split Screen utility. After installation, my Windows 7 Pro system would NOT ALLOW ME to open ANY FILES, ANYWHERE. It looked like the installation trashed the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry. ALL files and folders gave the same system error message:, that I did not have permission to open the object. A system restore didn't help. I finally tried to take ownership of all of the folders and restore permissions to them, and NOTHING WORKED. After many frustrating hours, I was forced to do a CLEAN INSTALL of Windows. Before I reloaded all my apps, I downloaded the latest Split Screen version 6.57, hoping LG had already found/fixed this, and tried it. It trashed the system as well. Another clean install, I loaded all my apps, gave up on split screen, and moved forward. THIS IS A DEVASTATING S/W PROBLEM!. If you buy this otherwise great monitor, do NOT install the split screen software until LG has fixed this severe bug. Also, when I move windows to the right edge of the screen, the edge of the window gets dozens of rips and electrical noise. But this could be my graphic card struggling with this wide display, so I won't condemn this model yet. Except the software. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
