Hanna Instruments 4-Wire Pt100 Thermometer w/ Interchangeable Probe Option
Please note: BLINQ sells products in multiple conditions (new, open box, refurbished, etc). Not all reviews are reflective of the condition that you may purchase.
The HI955501 4-Wire Pt100 Thermometer is used to monitor temperature in liquids, gases, and semisolids. The thermometer measures temperature from -199.9 to 850 degrees C, with an accuracy of + or - 0.2 degrees C + or - 1 digit from -120 to 199.9 degrees C. The unit works with any HI768-series stainless steel probe with a 1m (3.3-foot) cable. The 4-wire measurement system makes the thermometer practically impervious to wire-length air. The ergonomic design and wrist strap make the unit easier to carry. The HI955501 is used to measure temperature in laboratories, food service, and food storage.

Digital thermometers are instruments used to measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces electronically. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Most digital thermometers use thermistors, which are small electronic resistors. Thermistors are made out of metals that conduct electricity within a certain range and become more conductive the warmer they get. A microcontroller inside the thermometer measures this electrical conductivity and converts it to a temperature, which is displayed on an LCD. Digital thermometers are used in a wide range of applications, including in laboratory settings, food service and storage, and in doctors' offices and hospitals.
Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standards.
