Rated 5 out of 5 by Packfootball from Great product and Great results Being the first lawn I've ever had to seed and establish, I looked tested others before deciding on Scott's Heat tolerant blue mix. Simply followed instructions on package, had grass showing in about 10 days and 20 to 25 days in had almost full coverage of my yard. The only thing I did wrong was miscalculate how much to put out, which was my fault(or little faith in doing it my self). Price wise, you may pay a couple dollars more but from my experience of other products, you will not get the results that you get with Scott's. Thank you Scott's, for giving me my lawn back and my yard work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WRFCollins from Easy to grow with great results I live on a busy Interstate access road and have always had trouble keeping the devil-strip (tree lawn) green due to the excessive heat along the road. I always use Scotts products and decided to try this Scotts® Turf Builder® Heat-Tolerant Blue Mix when replanting this troublesome area in the fall of 2010. WOW! It came in great and has been beautiful for the last two summers. This summer (2012) really put it to the test with the high heat and drought conditions. It survived with minimal watering and now that the rain has returned looks fantastic again. I plan on using this for reseeding the areas of my yard that were damaged by the severe heat this summer. I know it will look great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FulltimeDad from Neighbors Are Jealous Killed our front yard last year and planted this mix. Lawn was so dark green and thick it choked out any weeds. Especially near my neighbor's lawn who likes to mow short so he can mow every 2 to 3 weeks. Neighbors and people who walk by ask my secret. Front looks so good, we are doing the backyard now. Be sure to put starter fertilizer down at the same time!

I'll admit, we skimped out and bought another brand of grass seed for the first two years. Last year, after aerating our lawn in September, we over-seeded with Scott's Heat Tolerant Mix. What a difference it made! This spring, we had great growth the density of the lawn was visibly noticeable. The grass is healthy and doesn't take much water or care - which means lower water bills and more time to enjoy the lawn!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from 5% germination at best I have patched many lawns over the years, and this seed is terrible. I am lucky if 5% of the seed germinated after 14 days. I used Scotts® Turfbuilder® Lawn Soil, kept the seed moist, and still had no luck. Would not purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RaphineIrm from Looks like sod was put down Used this grass seed to do a brand new lawn in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in August 2014. By late fall everyone who visited thought we had put down a sodded lawn. We had pretty decent topsoil, with its fair share of weeds that I sprayed a couple of weeks before seeding, and I then loosened the soil with a box grader before seeding. Applied Starter Fertilizer at the same time as the seed, and covered with straw. The lawn initially had plenty of orchardgrass from seedheads in the straw, but it eventually died or was choked out by the good grass. I was able to keep the seed moist during germination using water we collect from our roof, which I believe greatly contributed to the results. The lawn gets full sun most of the day. I have not applied any additional fertizer the first year as all spring and part of the summer I had to mow the lawn twice a week. With summer heat and less rain we are now mowing about every 6 days. The grass is so thick it is hard to separate it with my fingers and get down to the soil. This is without a doubt the nicest lawn we have ever had in almost 50 years of home ownership.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Noahgenda1 from Strong performing grass blend results in neighborhood envy... ;-P If you have FULL SUN and want a green lawn year round, this is the blend. Its super bright green in the spring with small blades of grass mixed with thicker blades, then later in the summer when it is hot and dry the small blade grass goes dormant and the thick grass takes over. For me in Central Ohio I notice a change in early July. It is August now and I have some underlying brown grass but the majority of the lawn is deep green. My neighbors think I water all the time but I am really just watering the flower beds. Cut it higher later in the summer... I planted this lawn 8 years ago and it's stronger than ever. Oh and once you plant it give it a solid year before you give up as it will take a while to get to 100%.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dhealy01 from Very Good Product!! Bought this Grass Seed to help a small area in my backyard that is always in the sun. Also, I bought the Edge Guard Mimi for the same project, since the guard was what I needed for this certain area. As far as the grass seed is concerned it works great. The area is very green and thick good to walk on barefoot. Still have a few places to re-seed, but all in all compared to bare this grass has developed just as Scott's says.
