The Pitsco 34126 Crane Video DVD demonstrates how to build a model crane as a hands-on activity for students in grades 6-12 studying the scientific concepts of simple machines and mechanical advantage. It introduces various simple machines such as pulleys, levers, and wheels and axles, discusses the uses of cranes around the world, and provides step-by-step instructions to build the Pitsco Crane kit (sold separately). The NTSC-format video is 19 minutes long and closed-captioned for the hearing impaired. An instructional video is typically used in an educational setting to complement classroom activities.
